Audio En2 Radio Mics

The Envoy En2 is the latest addition to the Envoy range from Audio Ltd. And I have to say, we are very impressed with the range here at Soundkit Towers. The En2 is intended to compete with the existing range of budget radio mics from other manufacturers, and it does so very well indeed.

The TX and RX are built with a rugged aluminium housing that will withstand the rigour of life in a kitbag on the road. There is a simple on/off switch on the base of the unit that has a very positive action. The menu control is a simple and easy to use combined rocker wheel/push button, while the menu system itself is self explanatory and easy to use and set-up. The input/output connectors are screw locking 3.5mm jacks and Audio have had plugs and sockets specially made which are much more sturdy and robust than any others we have seen and they certainly go together with a reassuringly positive and firm fit.

The PRO models are fitted with screw locking multipin Binder connectors and have selectable (insted of fixed) bass cuts.

Both TX (transmitter) , DX and MX (receivers) are powered by a single AA cell, while the dual DX2 (receiver) is powered by two AA cells. They have the latest in OLED displays which provide a wealth of information to the user. The display provides a level of confidence even when the screensaver is enabled, informing the user of the status of the unit and the link.

The units can be tuned to any frequency range (specify at time of order) between 470 and 960MHz (bandwidth 24MHz) in 25KHz steps, any one of 32 presets can be quickly used. There is scope for 32 user selectable frequencies to be tuned and saved. The most commonly selected range that we supply these days covers TV Ch. 38, 39, 40 and part of 41. This would be 606MHz - 631MHz (ish)

The latest addition to the Audio En2 range, this is the new Envoy En2 Diversity receiver from Audio Ltd, supplied with an Envoy En2 PRO Transmitter and a Tram TR50 mic with multipin connector and the usual Tram clips etc.

The new PRO envoy En2 transmitters feature selectable bass cuts (rather than fixed bass cuts) and are fitted with a small multi-pin connector.

The receiver and transmitter both can be externally powered from 6V - 18V DC

This kit is supplied with an output cable that provides audio output + Hirose for the option of powering the receiver externally.

The cable for externally powering the transmitters for use as a camera hop is available as an optional extra.

    Audio Envoy En2 MX - Non-Diversity kit with Tram TR50

    This is the entry level non-diversity member of the En2 family. We ship the En2 MX receiver with a En2 TX (fitted with a 3.5mm locking jack) and a Tram TR50 with the usual Tram clips etc.

    Both TX (transmitter) and MX (receiver) are both powered by a single AA cell and have the latest in OLED displays which provide a wealth of information to the user.

    The MX receiver can operate in two modes, it can be selected to Camera Mode, where the output is set to balanced mic level (adjustable level via the menu), or it can be quickly changed to Headphone Mode so it can be used with headphones or IEM. When in headphone mode, the volume is easily controlled with the rocker switch and the display shows a small headphone symbol.
