QX "Smooth Operator" booms, 5 segments

The new QX range are fully professional light booms for the ENG and video market, and use a smooth walled 100% carbon fibre tube. The screwlocks are still the same robust design as the QL range but have been reduced in length to improve the compressed/extended length ratio allowing the QX 565 to fit in a Pelican case. All the heavy duty features have been retained which means that this boom will have a very long life under the toughest working conditions. FEATURES Very lightweight 1 mm custom made carbon fibre tube. Stainless steel tip with special hole for easy assembly of internal cabling. Internal soft felt bushings ensure rattle free operation and no seizing because of dirt, humidity or cold temperatures. Collet and felt can easily be replaced by the user New special bottom end allows coiled cable fixture to rotate when loosened allowing the internal spiral cable to relax and remove twisting without opening the boom. Special fixing clamp for plug-on transmitters. NOTE: All Ambient boom poles ship with protective cases as standard.
