These booms are constructed with the 1.5mm wall thickness tubing and are very stiff and strong.
We recommend these booms for rigorous use by film, TV and documentary teams and of course the longer booms are perfect for feature film work when heavy mic assemblies and windshields are being used.
The extreme stiffness of the QP range will help boom operators to place and swing their mic more accurately without the boom flexing and dipping. The QP 120 extension although made for the QP4140 fits all 4-segment QP booms and can also be used to increase the diameter of the boom to 35mm so it will fit in a Manfrotto angle bracket and stand for stationary use, see jumbo boom accessories.

The QP 4140 is a long 4 section pole. Length: 154 - 540 cm. 1000g
The Ambient QP 4140 feature film pole is the only CF boom which can hold a Sennheiser MKH 816 with full windshield accessory at a horizontal extension of 5 meters!

Straight cabling set incl. special thin cable for all booms.
The complete range of QP booms can be fitted with internal straight cabling.
The cable comes out of the bottom of the pole and the XLR plug hangs free to be fixed to an extension cable.
