Sennheiser MKH 8060
The Sennheiser MKH 8060 is the shotgun member of the 8000 series and like the other members of the family features a removeable XLR module which screws into what Sennheiser call an MZL connector at the back end of the mic. This is useful because it enables you to use the 8060 in the tiny little Rycote WS1 MZL windshield by connecting directly to the MZL connector.
But if you'd prefer to use the XLR connector then you can put it in a Rycote WS 3 or a Cyclone Medium windshield.
To make things easier (and more affordable) we've put together a few mic and windshield bundles for you:-
