DPA 4097 Core Micro Shotgun Interview Kit

For a team producing location interviews, especially outdoors, it is important to have professional tools that make the entire process easy and flexible enough for any situation.

When you need to interview at a distance inside or out, the 4097 Interview Kit gets you up and running quickly and easily. No extra equipment. No complicated setup. No workflow changes. Just a lighter, more flexible solution that lightens your bag and eases your work.

Interview at (more than) arm’s length using the 4097 Micro Shotgun Microphone attached to the included lightweight 1.4m telescopic boom. It doesn’t get any easier or lighter (330 g (11.6 oz) without transmitter).

The 4097 can be plugged into an XLR input on a camera or audio recorder with a DAD6001-BC adaptor but for the ultimate in convenience connect it to your existing rado mic transmitter which can be easily mounted on the boompole. An adaptor suitable for your transmitter is needed for this and a selection of popular types are shown below.

The 4097 Interview Kit includes:

  • 1 Cold Shoe Mount with standard 1/4 in thread (CS4099)
  • 1 Rycote Windjammer (Rycote 055427, DPA 4099 Mini Windjammer)
  • 1 Telescopic Boom (Manfrotto MPCOMPACT-BK)

Clip your existing transmitter into the holder at the bottom of the pole, connect it via a wireless DPA adapter (not included) and you are ready to go.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will email you a shipping confirmation with your tracking details. You can follow the tracking link in that email or view updates through your Shopify order-status page.

What is your return policy?

Consumers can return most unwanted products within 30 days of receiving them, provided they meet our return conditions. Some products are excluded, and business purchases are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless agreed by Soundkit. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products are handled separately.
