The BP-98UX is a 98Wh 14.4V lithium-ion battery designed as a direct replacement for Sony BP-U batteries, providing extended runtime for professional cameras and BP-U powered equipment.

It uses the camera's original BP-U battery contacts rather than a flying DC lead, and adds a built-in fuel gauge, two unregulated D-Tap power outputs and Hawk-Woods Total Battery Protection against over-discharge, incorrect charging voltage, short circuit and thermal faults.
