The Viviana Pebble is a patented BodyWave antenna designed to improve the reliability and usable range of body-worn wireless transmitters. Standard whip antennas can lose performance when placed close to the body, as RF energy is absorbed and blocked by the wearer.

Viviana Pebble helps solve this by directing RF energy away from the body, allowing the signal to propagate more efficiently into the surrounding space. Low-profile, rugged and easy to conceal, it is ideal for film, TV, broadcast, corporate production and live performance where transmitters are worn under clothing or close to the body.

How to wear the Pebble

Place the Viviana Pebble in a suitable pouch on a Viviana Straps Extreme setup. The side marked BACK must sit against the body. The cable connecting the Pebble to the transmitter should stay on the back side of the Pebble and should not run across the front or sides of the antenna.

    Where Pebble Performs Best

    Viviana Pebble is most effective when the body would normally block or absorb the transmitter signal.

    Where the Difference May Be Smaller

    Pebble is designed to reduce body-blocking and on-body RF loss. When that is not the main issue, the improvement may be less noticeable.

    For example:
    • When the antenna is not close to the body
    • Indoor spaces with strong RF reflections
    • Setups already getting reliable signal

    Pebble will still perform well, but the difference compared with a whip antenna may be smaller.

Lab Comparison

Pebble vs Whip

Independent lab testing compared Viviana Pebble with a standard whip antenna on a body phantom designed to simulate the RF behaviour of the human torso.

The plots show how effectively each antenna radiates in different directions. Larger shapes and warmer colours indicate stronger radiated signal, while smaller shapes and cooler colours indicate weaker performance.

In simple terms, the results show Pebble radiating more efficiently around the body, helping reduce the signal loss commonly caused by body blocking.
