Features of the Ambient UMP III

Long run time
UMP stands for Universal Microphone Power Supply. The Ambient UMP enables the use of Phantom or T-powered microphones on a “wireless boom” with typical belt pack transmitters. This 3rd generation of the UMP is not only easy to operate with one simple button, but provides a run time of several hours per charge depending on the microphone used.

Enough power whenever, wherever
The autonomous supply avoids additional drain of the belt pack’s batteries and ensures long battery lifetime plus making the unit compatible with any transmitter with mic-level input. You can mount the UMP III either on the boom tip or carry it on your belt with an optional clip (UMP-BC).

Standardized batteries for greener production
Thanks to rechargeable NP-50 batteries you can use the same batteries you already have in your kit for the Lockit, microphones or radio transmitters. Working more green on set has never been easier.

Light as a feather
Since NP-50 batteries are much slimmer than e.g. AA batteries, the UMP III is very small. Ambient were able to cut its volume and weight by 40 % compared to its predecessor.

High compatibility
The UMP III is compatible with any transmitter with mic-level input. In- and output connectors let you configure them individually and are keyed against accidental interchange.

LED interface
A 5-colored LED interface indicates battery status, selected powering modes, and LED status check.

You'll also need an output cable to connect the UMP III to your transmitter. There's a link to the most popular one below, it's for use with Sound Devices A20-Mini transmitters as well as Wisycom, Zaxcom and some Sennheiser models.

UK standard delivery costs £4.50, with free standard delivery on UK orders over £250. Next Working Day delivery is available on eligible in-stock orders under 30kg placed before 1pm. Worldwide shipping is also available.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, we will email you a shipping confirmation with your tracking details. You can follow the tracking link in that email or view updates through your Shopify order-status page.

What is your return policy?

Consumers can return most unwanted products within 30 days of receiving them, provided they meet our return conditions. Some products are excluded, and business purchases are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless agreed by Soundkit. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products are handled separately. Can I change or cancel my order?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We will do our best to help, but changes cannot normally be made once an order has been processed or dispatched.
