• Lightweight 5-section high-density graphite boom pole for professional location sound.
• Avalon captive-collet locking system with knurled collars for secure, fast adjustment.
• Fixed 3/8"-16 male top thread accepts standard professional microphone suspensions.
• Choice of uncabled, internal coiled cable with bottom XLR, or internal coiled cable with side XLR.
Need help choosing?
Choose Uncabled for the lightest setup and maximum flexibility with external cabling. Choose Bottom XLR if you want the microphone cable routed internally with a conventional straight connection from the base. Choose Side XLR if the cable needs to leave the pole at a right angle, which can be neater with some bag, stand and wireless-transmitter setups.
The K-Tek Avalon Graphite KEG100 is a lightweight 5-section professional boom pole designed for ENG, EFP, documentary and location sound work. Built from K-Tek's high-density graphite tubing, it balances low weight with the rigidity and durability required for regular production use.
The Avalon captive-collet locking system and knurled collars let each telescopic section lock securely and deploy quickly. A fixed headpiece with a standard 3/8"-16 male thread accepts professional microphone shockmounts and suspensions.
Choose from an uncabled version, an internally coiled XLR version with a straight bottom exit, or an internally coiled version with a side-exit XLR. The side-exit KEG100CCR is slightly longer at both collapsed and fully extended length.
Choosing your type
Choose Uncabled for the lightest setup and maximum flexibility with external cabling. Choose Bottom XLR if you want the microphone cable routed internally with a conventional straight connection from the base. Choose Side XLR if the cable needs to leave the pole at a right angle, which can be neater with some bag, stand and wireless-transmitter setups.
