The Remote Audio HIQ98 is a 98Wh, 14.4V rechargeable lithium-ion smart battery designed for professional location-sound power systems. Its internal battery-management electronics balance charging and discharging while communicating battery information to compatible chargers and powered equipment.

Remote Audio designed the Hi-Q format as a modern alternative to traditional NP-1 batteries. At 98Wh, the full-size Hi-Q offers around 30% more capacity than a lithium NP-1 while remaining compact and lightweight for sound-bag use.

The battery uses the Inspired Energy standard contact configuration, making it interchangeable with compatible equipment and accessories using the same smart-battery format. A suitable Hi-Q battery cup, power cable and charger are required and are sold separately.
