Need help choosing?
Choose the HN-7506 when normal production headphones are being overwhelmed by the sound around you — for example aircraft, motorsport, generators, live music or other very loud locations. For ordinary location recording where extreme isolation is not required, a standard monitoring headphone such as the Sony MDR-7506 will be lighter and less enclosed.
The Remote Audio HN-7506 is a professional high-noise isolating headphone designed for location sound recordists working in extremely loud environments. It combines the familiar monitoring character of Sony MDR-7506 40mm dynamic drivers with heavily isolated, specially baffled earcups.
Passive isolation reduces outside ambience by as much as 45dB, helping production sound mixers hear programme audio more clearly around aircraft, motorsport, generators, live music and other high-SPL environments without relying on active noise cancellation.
The current HN-7506 version uses a rugged coiled monitoring cable with a 3.5mm TRS Unimatch plug and supplied 1/4-inch adaptor, giving it straightforward compatibility with professional field mixers, recorders and monitoring equipment.

HN-7506 High Noise Isolating Headphones
£399.00
Built for Extreme Production Environments
Hear the Recording, Not the Location
The HN-7506 surrounds the Sony MDR-7506 driver platform with heavily isolated, specially baffled earcups. The result is a familiar professional monitoring sound with dramatically less interference from the environment around you.
Up to 45dB Passive Isolation
MDR-7506 Monitoring in a High-Isolation Shell
Remote Audio uses 40mm dynamic drivers based on Sony’s MDR-7506 monitoring platform, making the transition between standard 7506s and the HN-7506 more predictable for production sound mixers who already know that reference.
Sony MDR-7506 Drivers
Designed for Aircraft, Motorsport and Live Production
Passive isolation is particularly useful when working next to aircraft, race tracks, generators, process vehicles or loud PA systems. By reducing the acoustic level reaching the ear, the HN-7506 makes dialogue, interference and recording problems easier to identify.
