The Sanken CMS-50 is a compact M-S stereo microphone with separate cardioid Mid and figure-8 Side outputs, giving production sound teams direct control over stereo width during recording or in post.

Its 137mm body weighs only 130g, making it practical on booms and compact camera rigs while still covering a 60Hz–20kHz response and handling up to 138dB SPL.

• The 5-pin XLR carries raw Mid and Side component signals, not pre-decoded left/right stereo.
• M-S decoding is required in the recorder/mixer or in post-production to create a conventional stereo image.
• Requires 48V phantom power for each channel.
• The product image showing a shockmount uses an optional mount that is not included.
