The Schoeps CMC 6xt U is the high-resolution version of the CMC 6, extending compatible axial Colette capsules to approximately 40kHz.

It is designed for high-sample-rate recording and sound design where clean ultrasonic content is useful for slowing and pitch-shifting, while retaining standard P12/P48 operation and XLR output.

Choosing your type

Choose the CMC 6xt for ultrasonic capture and extreme pitch-down work. For normal audio-band recording, the CMC 6 U or smaller CMC 1 U is usually the better-value choice.

Important Notes

This is the amplifier body only. A compatible MK capsule is required, and the MK 8 does not gain the same ultrasonic extension because of its lateral figure-8 design.
