The Sound Devices USBPre 2 is a two-channel portable high-resolution USB audio interface for Mac, Windows and Linux systems. It combines two microphone preamps, balanced mic/line inputs, RCA aux inputs, balanced XLR outputs, coaxial and optical S/PDIF I/O, USB bus powering and up to 24-bit / 192 kHz audio resolution.

It can also be used in standalone mode as a microphone preamplifier and analogue-to-digital converter, making it useful for recording, playback, test and measurement, broadcast, production and general professional audio workflows.

Standalone Operation

More Than an Interface

In standalone mode, the USBPre 2 can operate as a portable microphone preamplifier and analogue-to-digital converter, making it useful beyond computer-based recording.
